Second Date

Bea and Jim are walking home after their first date.

Jim: Do you want to have dinner again soon?
Bea: No. Honestly, this was a terrible date.
Jim: What? Why?
Bea: You talked about yourself during the whole date! And you didn’t ask any questions about my life.
Jim: Well, you were texting a lot during the date!
Bea: I was texting my friend Lin. She’s taking care of my dog tonight.
Jim: You have a dog, I didn’t know that.
Bea: That’s because you didn’t ask.
Jim: Sorry, I talk too much when I’m nervous.
Bea: Yeah.
Jim: Well, I love dogs! I have too!
Bea: Oh, really?
Jim: Their names are Steve and Phil! Steve is friendly, bug Phil is a little shy.
Jim: They love playing in the park and going to the beach and —
Jim: Sorry, I’m talking too much again.
Bea: Yes, bugg that’s OK. I love talking about my dog too.
Jim: Maybe our dogs can play together at the park soon.
Bea: Great idea!
Jim: It’ll be a fun second date.
Bea: Oh, I don’t want to have a second date. But our dogs can still play together!
